Poor Ted
Poor Kennedys. Say what you will about them, it is horrible that this family keeps going through so many tragedies. It is easy for many, especially members of the current crazy right wing, to bash the Kennedy name for many reasons but, what they keep enduring is enough to make even the most cold-hearted critic at least a bit sympathetic for the Kennedys. In any case, Sen. Kennedy's days are pretty much numbered. God willing, his death will be as painless as humanly possible.

Homecoming
Friday night I was with my cousin, some friends from high school and my best bud Robert. We were sitting around playing cards, drinking a few beers and just laughing our asses off about all the weird shit that has happened to us since the last time we were together. We were making plans about doing things and going places like we did when we had just graduated high school.
For eight hours on Friday night, on that small and isolated street in Watts, the world and it's uncertainty seized to exist. I didn't feel sad or angry or stressed out about anything. The company of my closests friends made me feel good about where my life is headed. There are many people in this world that I am close to and that I would do ANYTHING for. However, those four individuals I was with on Friday; Robert, Ceja, Esatrada and Kirby reminded me that they are the ones that would do ANYTHING for me: ANYTHING! I can't wait to see these fellows again.

It should just end already...
The Democrats keep dragging this election when things should have been already settled. The delegates and super delegates should just get behind Obama and force Clinton to drop out of the race. Not that I care about who the Democrats nominate, but when both candidates are launching personal attacks at each other, party members need to save what little integrity the party has left and just endorse Obama.
The Republican Party has been so strong because of their unity. McCain locked the nomination months ago and is just sitting back watching the circus that the Democrats are invovled in. Not that everything that the Republican Party has done has been right, but they get things done because they come to terms with what can be done and how to do it.
America is already in despair with society being so polarized on economic and noneconomic issues. Having one of the parties just as polarized as the rest of the nation isn't good. If the alternative to the Republican Party's policies are at eachother's throats and can't agree on who should represent the party in the next election, we are in for another painful 4 years. McCain is a normal Republican unlike every member of the Bush Administration and if the Democrats don't get their act together, he will appeal to the millions of other normal Amercians who don't allow party labels to dictate how they think and how they vote.

Just a thought...
After spending mother's day telling my mom how much we love her and how our existence would be totally pointless without her presence, I began feeling bad for Ralph (aka dad). I love my dad and God forbid that anything bad ever happen to him but, I was thrown off by the fact that if Ralph wasn't around, I think would be able to better deal with it than if my mom wasn't around. Without a doubt, it would destroy me to lose Ralph. However, the thought of my mom not being around just scares the life out of me. I think it's time Ralph and I connected on a whole new level.
